Due to the departure of current club captain Stu Clarke, the club committee have then the time to appoint a new club captain for the 2025/26 season.

The club are delighted to confirm that Arturs Grigorjevs will lead the club for the forthcoming season.

Arturs has been a long serving member of Port Goole starting with us at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, going from large defeats to a 9 unbeaten run in our current pre-season campaign.

Newly appointed skipper, Arturs, had this to say. "It's a honour, with the squads we have available this season anything is capable. People around the club are switching on and the results are starting to show."

Everybody at the club wishes Arturs the best of luck in his new role and a special thank you to Stu Clarke for taking the armband when the club was going through a tough patch and brought us out of the other side, good luck and we can't wait to welcome you back to The Port.
